Under the Federal Bankruptcy Laws, and some State Laws, may be able to stop foreclosure, save your home and car, eliminate most debts, and  stop wage garnishment.

Stopping a foreclosure or even undoing the sale if we can prove fraud or that you were never notified properly pursuant to law about the foreclosure process or even predatory lending practices, promises quick refinance with high interest rates, or sales to third parties who will "let you live in your home, while they pay your mortgage."   Or, they will tell you to take a high interest rate for one or two years, then when your credit is better "well refinance you into a lower rate."  Problem:  Very high initial rate.  No lock in of lower rate in a year or two, and no obligation on their part to refinance you in two years, so now yours stuck in a bad loan.

CHAPTER 13:

Structuring mortgage arrears to be paid of a certain period of time, up to five years and repaying  unsecured debts (credit cards, medical bills, etc.) over that same  time. In some cases, unsecured debts can be paid as little as 10%.  Think about it, predators will tell you Bankrucptcy ruins your credit.  IT DOES NOT.  A Bankrucptcy followed by succefful repayments show new lenders that you used your fresh start as it was intended.  A foreclosure proceeding on your credit, has already ruined it.

CHAPTER 7:

May allow a person to eliminate most unsecured debt. To determine if you can save your home and car by filing a Chapter 7, you must speak with a bankruptcy attorney.
